Ms. Lanaye Smith, Director
Dear Clayton Partnership Families,
I am delighted to welcome you to another wonderful school year at Clayton Partnership. As I step into my second year as your Director, I am filled with enthusiasm and a renewed commitment to our students’ success and well-being.
Throughout my career, I have held various roles, including classroom teacher, Instructional Guide, and Assistant Director which have all prepared me to lead our school with passion and purpose. Driven by a belief that every student has the potential to succeed, I prioritize creating an environment where both students and teachers feel valued and inspired. I advocate for a holistic approach to education, emphasizing the importance of emotional and social development alongside academic achievement.
Outside of my professional responsibilities, I enjoy spending time with my family and loved ones outdoors in beautiful Colorado. Whether it's hiking in the Rocky Mountains, skiing in the winter, or exploring the many scenic trails and parks, I find great joy in nature's beauty and the adventures it offers.
I am excited to bring my experience, enthusiasm, and vision to Clayton Partnership, where I look forward to partnering with students, parents, and staff to achieve new heights of excellence.
Ms. Jolene Durrant
Dear Clayton Partnership Families,
I am beyond excited to continue serving the Clayton Partnership community as the Mapleton School District Assistant Director in my second year. It is with great enthusiasm that I look forward to supporting students, families, and staff members throughout the upcoming year. Born and raised in Southern California, I have also lived in several other states, including Alabama, Wyoming, and Hawaii. My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Hawaii West Oahu and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Regis University.
As I embark on my seventh year as an administrator, my passion for education continues to grow, and I am eager to share that passion with you all.
I am a proud mother of two teenage boys, aged 18 and 15. You can often find us enjoying time outdoors together, engaging in various activities such as pickleball, mountain biking, and making s'mores in the summer! During the colder months, we love exploring the snowy mountains and visiting as often as we can. Having lived in the mountains for 8 years, they hold a special place in our hearts.
Clarity, compassion, and accountability are the pillars that guide my decisions and how I engage with all stakeholders. I am committed to contributing to the success of every student at Clayton Partnership, and I look forward to partnering with you to achieve this goal.
Warmly,
Jolene Durrant
